Special Meeting

The Halifax Township Board of Supervisors held a special meeting on September 3, 2015, called to order at 6:04 PM and adjourned just 17 minutes later at 6:21 PM. All five supervisors were present: Chairman Kenneth Bechtel, Randy Paul, Scott McBurney, Steve Schreffler, and Brad Bruner. The meeting was called for a single purpose — to finalize approvals needed to advance the Sheetz land development project.

• Curbing and sidewalk waivers granted for Sheetz site: The board unanimously approved waivers of Section 606 (curbing and sidewalk) and Section 502 (cartway width) requirements as amendments to the previously approved Sheetz land development plan.
• Amended land development plan approved with conditions: The amended Sheetz plan was approved contingent on all outstanding engineering review comments being adequately addressed. The signed plans will be held until all conditions are satisfied before being released for recording.
• Four stormwater agreements authorized: The board approved execution of a Stormwater Operations & Maintenance Agreement, a Joint Highway Occupancy Permit Stormwater Facilities Management Agreement, a Drainage Easement Agreement, and a Stormwater Facilities Access Easement Agreement — all to be held until the plan is in recordable form.
• PennDOT traffic signal and highway permits authorized: The board approved submitting a Highway Occupancy Permit application, a traffic signal approval application, and an accompanying resolution to PennDOT, with Halifax Township as the applicant. A Traffic Signal Mylar Plan was also approved for submission in support of these applications.
