The board held an executive session before the meeting on personnel and litigation matters, then moved through a year-end agenda headlined by adoption of the 2020 budget and several township building maintenance items.

  • 2020 budget adopted unanimously (4-0), closing out the township's budget process for the coming year.
  • Township building electrical repairs: The board awarded a contract to Tim Bower Electric for electrical repairs and upgrades at $2,900 plus $40/hour (4-0).
  • Township building roof replacement: The board voted to advertise for bids on replacing the township building roof (4-0), with a contract award expected in a future meeting.
  • Vehicle nuisance enforcement: The solicitor was directed to send a formal letter confirming that an ongoing vehicle ordinance violation remains unresolved (4-0).
  • Ibberson Conservation stormwater management: Kenneth Kozak, a civil engineer with the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, presented revised stormwater drawings for the Ibberson Conservation area. The board directed him to work directly with Township Engineer Tim DeWire on the plans.
  • Hunting at Fort Halifax: Chairman Kenneth Bechtel asked the board to consider whether to allow hunting on the east side of the Fort Halifax grounds along Armstrong Creek. No action was taken.
  • Kieffer Road turnback: Property deed descriptions have been prepared and the solicitor will draft the deeds, with final action scheduled for January.
  • Nuisance ordinance revision: A revised "catch-all" nuisance ordinance is planned for advertisement in January and adoption in February.
